Having the right tools at hand is critical when out in the field. This kit was designed with that in mind and includes all the basic hand tools required to repair equipment in the field. The tools are made of metal with only a small amount of plastic to ensure they will stand up to use. The kit includes an elasticized canvas coalcracker tool pouch with awl, reamer, twisted cutting shears, Gimlet (5MM) wooden spool of sinue, a bottle of coalcracker oil and illustrated instructions.

Repair Patches
You might want to consider adding adhesive patches to your kit if there are some holes in your equipment. These patches are made of high-performance glue already applied on a rugged polyurethane back that allows a tear under pressure to recover. Available in clear or color options, these patches provide durability against abrasions, moisture, sunlight, saltwater, and temperature extremes.
If avon welcome kit doesn't include any of the items listed above you might want to consider adding a water-proof Aquaseal wader sealant. The water-tight adhesive bonds to fabrics and metals to provide a permanent fix. This is great for repairing drysuits, and can be utilized in the field. Allow the sealant to dry for up to 12 hours prior using the repaired equipment.
The essential field fabric repair kit for nylon tents with silicone impregnated, packs, rainwear and more. It includes one Clean Tape patch and a sil nylon repair swatch and a 1/4 ounce tube of Goretex Silfix repair adhesive sealant and brush. Apply patch over a clean, smooth surface of the damaged area with at least 1/2 inch overlap. Remove the release paper and rub adhesive side down with moderate finger pressure.
Surface preparation is vital for successful repairs. Oils on boots or shoes, sunblock or solvents like Acetone can affect adhesion. For the best results, you should apply Seam Grip alone or with Cotol-240 Cure Accelerator to speed up curing time up to 2 hours.
Adhesive patches
If you're on the trail but aren't able to do a full vulcanising repair the patches that are self-adhesive will allow you to get back in the saddle with no hassle. Apply the self-adhesive patch then roll it on.
Use the tube-scuffer to roughen the surface. avon starter set will aid the glue stick. Spread a thin layer on the patch. Cover an area which is at the very least large as the patch. Wait a few minutes for the glue to dry before pressing the patch into place and firmly holding it in the place.
