Then, carefully remove the battery from its socket by lifting it on the side that is closest to the key-ring loop. Be sure to wear rubber gloves to avoid damaging the contacts or the clips.
Place the new battery in the socket after the previous one was removed. Make sure that the positive side is facing upwards and that it is securely seated within all clips. Slide the cover downwards towards the key-ring portion until it is loose and it falls off. Take off the cover to reveal the hidden key blade.
