If you're looking for a hands-off mopping experience, look into the Roborock S7 Max Ultra. Its base is bulky, however, it's not ugly. It also holds large water tanks to store both clean and dirty water.
iRobot Combo j7+
The Combo J7+ is a variant of the great Roomba J7 vacuum and adds on a wet mopping function. This smart robot mops up sticky messes and spills while avoiding obstacles, and then returns to its dock at the conclusion of its cleaning routine. It's a great choice for homes with hard floors and can also be used to clean rugs or tiles with a mix of surfaces.
The Combo j7+, like all Roomba models, is a pro at sucking up dirt. PrecisionVision and iRobot OS help the robot to navigate more effectively. It can avoid common objects, such as cords and pet messes. The iRobot Combo j7+ is capable of avoiding furniture, such as tall chairs with backs that can trap the robot underneath them.
When the iRobot Combo j7+ realizes that it's on a surface that needs to be cleaned with water, a little robot arm is raised and swings a small mopping pad under it. This is an incredibly intuitive system, and it worked great during my testing. It was unable to remove water-based liquids, such as juice or wine. The mopping pad is easily washed and reused.
The camera in the front of the iRobot Combo is also useful. It can spot dangers like power cords and pet waste and stay clear of them to ensure thorough cleaning. This feature is better than the majority of robot vacuums' cameras that can get stuck on things like rug tassels. It is worth noting that the iRobot Combo ju7+'s front camera is prone to blind spots and may miss certain objects.
self-emptying vacuum ju7+ may be costly but its performance is high enough to justify the price. It has a high score from customers, and they appreciate its innovative features. It's worth looking into alternatives, such as the Ecovacs Deebot X1 Omni. It's less expensive than iRobot Combo h7+ and can heed voice commands without the need for third-party integration, as it can mop and vacuum in one go. It also has a large water tank, and its mopping pad is self-cleaning.
Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision
The Scout RX3 Home Vision robot vacuum and mop is a complete robot vacuum with all the advanced features you'd expect of the top brands. You can remotely monitor your home through its camera and even watch the process through the app (though the app doesn't offer the high-resolution image quality you can get from the camera).
The mops are ideal for cleaning tile, wood and rugs and getting rid of pet hair, and dirt. They feature an effective obstacle avoidance system that doesn't push light, small objects like toys or socks around the floor. It's the most efficient mopping robot we've evaluated. It also comes with a magnetic strip you can use to block off areas the robot will not be in a position to reach like rooms with many cables.
The robot is, however, short on other standard features of its kind. The mop is excellent however, their maximum run-time of 60 minutes is less than we'd like find in a product that has such a high cost. It doesn't even vacuum after a mopping or automatically empty into its charging station.
It's still a great option for those with large homes, as the mapping and cleaning processes are quick and efficient. The app is easy to use and you can even set dates for when it's going to work. You can still use the remote to control the device if you do not want to connect to a strong WiFi connection.
The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision is costly but it has a lot of smart functions that make up the cost. Its live home monitoring is fantastic and it looks cool too. It's a great option for families with children, pets, or anyone who needs to keep an eye on their house while they're away. Many people who own a robotic mop and vacuum are amazed at the changes their floors make after using them regularly.
Roborock S7 Max Ultra
Roborock's newest robot mop and vacuum that self-empty, the S7 Max Ultra ($1299 at Amazon), is a fantastic upgrade over the already excellent S6 and S7 models. It comes with a variety of useful features including aggressive mopping, a higher suction power (up to 5,100Pa, as opposed to the older models which had 2,400Pa), and more. It also features a precise lidar navigation system that operates in 3D like radar. This lets it observe things like chair legs, baseboards and furniture legs so it can precisely maneuver around them. It can also create customized cleaning routines that you can initiate by tapping, such as an "After Meal mode" that systematically cleans and vacuums the kitchen floors.
This two-in-one also has a special feature not found on most other robots: VibraRise, which raises the mopping plates when it senses carpeting so that it doesn't get area rugs wet and makes mopping more efficient. It also comes with a deep-cleaning feature that vacuums and mops carpets with one step, getting rid of dust and dirt faster than spinning mops. The app can be used to schedule weekly cleanings, or to clean on the spot.
The S7 Max Ultra is a great device for the purpose it was designed for, but it does have certain drawbacks. The most notable is the price. It's also the most expensive robotic mop and vacuum combination I've ever seen. The other issues are less specific to this model but are more indicative of the robotic vacuum category as a whole It's not able to handle large spills or large, sticky messes with ease.
The S7 Max Ultra can be easily set up: simply plug it in, connect it to your phone via Wi Fi, and begin the cleaning process. Once you've done that, you can customize the settings within the app, including setting no-go zones, and scheduling cleanings.
Another big bonus is its outstanding obstacle avoidance system. During testing it did not get stuck in tight spaces twice, which is much better than the S6 MaxVs three tries or the X1 Omni's four tries. The app allows you to mark an object as a temporary obstruction, and the S7 Max Ultra will ignore it during future cleanings.
Narwal Freo
The Narwal Freo is one of the few robots that incorporate vacuuming and mops in its design. It's among the most affordable robots we've reviewed. The Freo is a fantastic choice for anyone who needs a combination cleaner. Its remarkable cleaning capabilities, as well as its many options for customization, makes it a fantastic choice. However, the absence of advanced obstacle avoidance and a polished app tempered our enthusiasm for this model.
The first step to get the Freo up and running is to conduct a quick scan of your area which helps it determine the space it will cover when cleaning. It takes about a minute to complete this process. Once the Freo knows the location of everything it can move more quickly throughout subsequent cleanings.
Freo can also register a room for either mopping or dry vacuuming. This lets it be more efficient in switching between these two tasks. It's also smart enough to know when its mop pads are dirty and will automatically return to the dock for refills before heading back out to dry clean hard surfaces.
The main strength of the Freo is its ability to vacuum and mop well on carpets. The mops pads of its twin are automatically raised when the Freo encounters carpet which allows it to utilize less power and energy while still removing dirt. It is also able to thoroughly clean up spilled oatmeal and sand without requiring multiple vac/mop passes.
The Freo's unique tilted side brush are inspired by street sweeper trucks and do an excellent job of taking in and sweeping out dirt particles. Its rounded body design and high-end finish give the Freo an appealing appearance. The robot is operated by an LCD display on its base station. However, we prefer to use the app for smartphones.
The app comes with a range of options to alter the Freo's behavior, including schedules for busy rooms, spot cleanings, and the option of activating the parental lock. You can also decide the length of time it takes for the Freo to air dry its mop pads and the frequency at which you want it to empty its trash bin. You can even set an maximum size for the trash bin.
