Vacuum-mop combos make it easy to keep floors clean. These machines are ideal for quick cleaning between deep vacuuming.
If you're looking for a hands-free mopping experience, look into the Roborock S7 Max Ultra. Its base is bulky but not unattractive, and it holds clean and dirty water tanks that are large enough to last for several sessions.
iRobot Combo j7+
The Combo J7+ takes the great Roomba J7 vacuum and adds an wet mopping function. This robot is able to clean up sticky spills, while staying clear of obstacles. It returns to its dock after the cleaning cycle. This robot is ideal for homes with hard flooring and can be utilized to clean rugs tiles, tiles, or tiles with mixed surfaces.

Like all Roomba models like all Roomba models, the Combo J7+ is great at absorbing dirt and other debris. Its smart navigation is bolstered by iRobot OS technology and PrecisionVision which allows the robot to identify common objects that are in its path, such as pet waste or cords, and avoid them completely. The iRobot Combo j7+ can even evade furniture, including high chairs with backs that could catch the robot under them.
When the iRobot Combo j7+ detects that it is on a surface which needs to be cleaned the robot arm raises and swings a mopping pad underneath it. This is an incredibly user-friendly system, and it worked great during my testing. However, I discovered that it was unable to completely wipe away water-based liquids like juice or wine. The mopping pad is washed and reused.
The iRobot Combo's front camera is also useful. It can detect hazards such as power cords and pet waste, and be sure to avoid them for thorough cleaning. This feature is superior to the cameras on most other robot vacuums, as they often get caught up on things like rug tassels. It is worth noting, however, that the iRobot Combo ju7+'s front camera is susceptible to blind spots, and can miss certain objects.
The iRobot Combo ju7+ may be costly however its performance is high enough to justify its cost. It has a good customer rating, and customers appreciate its innovative features. However, it's worth looking at alternatives, like the Ecovacs Deebot X1 Omni. It's less expensive than iRobot Combo h7+, and it can heed voice commands without the need for third-party integration. It also mops and vacuum in one pass. Additionally, it comes with an enormous water tank and the mopping pads are self-cleaning.
Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision
The Scout RX3 Home Vision robot vacuum and mop is a full-featured robot vacuum with all the advanced features you'd expect from an expensive brand. You can remotely monitor your home through its camera and even see it work on the app (though the app doesn't offer the high-resolution image quality you can get from the camera).
Mops are excellent for cleaning tiles carpets, wood and rugs as well as taking care of pet hair, and dirt. They also feature effective obstacle avoidance that doesn't push small and lightweight objects, like toys or socks, across the floor. It's the best mopping robot we've evaluated. It comes with a magnet strip that can be used to block off areas where the robot isn't able to reach, for example rooms with lots of cables.
However, the robot isn't equipped with other features that are expected from the type of robot it is. While the mops do a fantastic job, their maximum running time is 60 minutes, which is a little less than what we'd like to see on a high-end product. It doesn't even vacuum after a mopping session or automatically empty into its charging station.
It's an ideal choice for people who live in large houses because the mapping and cleaning processes are fast and efficient. The app is easy to navigate, and you can set up schedules for when it will operate. If you don't have a strong WI-FI connection, you can still control it with the remote, or with voice integrations with Alexa.
The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision isn't cheap however its numerous smart features make the difference. Its live home monitoring feature is amazing, and it also looks amazing. It's a nice option for those with young children or pets, or anyone who needs to monitor their home while away. Many people who own a robotic mop and vacuum are amazed by the difference their floors can make after using them frequently.
Roborock S7 Max Ultra
Roborock's newest robot vacuum and mop combo self empty, the S7 Max Ultra ($1299 at Amazon) is a fantastic upgrade over the already excellent S6 and S7 models. It has a number of useful features like aggressive mopping, a higher suction power (up to 5,100Pa as opposed to the older models with 2,400Pa) and much more. It also boasts precise lidar navigation that works like radar in 3D, meaning it can identify things like chair legs, baseboards and furniture legs to expertly move around them. It can create customized cleaning routines you can launch by tapping for example, an "After meal mode" that intensively cleans and vacuums kitchen floors.
This two-in-one has one unique feature that is not available on most other robots: VibraRise, which raises the mopping plate once it senses carpeting so that it doesn't get the area rug wet, making mopping more efficient. It also has a special deep-cleaning mode that mops and vacuums carpets in one pass cleaning more dirt and dust than spinning mops can. You can also utilize the app to set the schedule for your regular cleaning or clean on the go.
The S7 Max Ultra is a fantastic device for the purpose it was designed for however, it has certain drawbacks. The price is the biggest. It's also the most expensive robotic mop and vacuum combination I've ever reviewed. The other issues are not specific to this particular model but more indicative of robotic vacuums as a category that it is unable to handle large spills and, sticky messes well.
The S7 Max Ultra can be easily set up: just plug it in, connect it to your phone using Wi Fi, and begin a cleaning session. After that, you can alter its settings in the app, such as setting no-go zones and scheduling cleanings.
Another major benefit is its outstanding obstacle avoidance system. In testing, it only encountered two snags in tight spaces, which is a lot superior to the S6 MaxV's three tries and the X1 Omni's four attempts. The app allows you to mark an object as a temporary obstruction and the S7 Max Ultra will ignore it when cleaning in the future.
Narwal Freo
The Narwal Freo is a unique robot that blends mops and vacuums. It's also among the most affordable combination bots we've reviewed in our review. The Freo is a great option for anyone looking for a combination cleaner. Its outstanding cleaning capabilities, as well as its many customization options, make it an excellent option. The absence of the latest obstacle-avoidance technology, as well as a sleek mobile app has dampened our enthusiasm for this model.
auto empty robot vacuum to get the Freo running is a quick scan of your space that helps it map the area it will cover while cleaning. It takes around a minute to complete this process. Once the Freo has a better understanding of where everything is located it will be capable of navigating more efficiently during subsequent cleanings.
Another cool feature is the Freo's ability of registering an area as mopping or dry vacuuming so that it can be more efficient in switching between these two functions. It is also intelligent enough to detect when the mop pads need to replaced and return to the dock to replenish them before returning to clean hard surfaces.
A key strength of the Freo is its ability to vacuum and mop well on carpets. The twin mop pads automatically raise when the Freo comes into contact with carpet. This lets it make use of less energy and resources, while still removing dirt. It can also remove oatmeal and sand without having to make multiple passes with the vac/mop.
The Freo's tilted side brush is inspired by street sweeper vehicles and is effective at attracting and cleaning up dirt particles. The Freo's sleek design and high-end finish make it a striking device. The robot can be controlled by an LCD screen on its base station. We prefer to use the app for smartphones.
The app has many settings to customize the Freo's behavior. These include schedules for busy rooms, spot cleaning, and the option of activating the parental lock. You can also choose the length of time it takes for the Freo to dry its mop pads, and the frequency at which you want it to empty its dust bin. You can set the maximum size of the trash container.
