Repair Patches
If you've got a hole or two in your gear, consider adding adhesive patches to your rep kit. These patches made of heavy-duty materials have high-performance glue pre-applied on a tough polyurethane backing that allows a tear to recover. Available in clear or colored options These patches offer durability against moisture, punctures, saltwater, sunlight and extreme temperatures.
If your kit does not include any of the items listed above it is possible to think about adding a waterproof Aquaseal wader sealant. This water-tight glue will bond to fabrics, plastics, metals, and more for permanent repair. This glue is ideal for repairing drysuits and can also be used in the field. Clean the punctured area thoroughly and then use the tube-scuffer or sandpaper to roughen the surface, which aids in gluing. Apply a thin layer of glue over the patch. Cover an area that is at least as big as the patch. Allow the glue to become tacky then press the patch down firmly and secure it.
