It is important to have the right tools at your side when you're out in the field. This kit was created with this in mind, and contains all of the basic hand tools required for repairs on the field. The tools are made from metal with only a small amount of plastic to ensure they can withstand use. The kit comes with a canvas zippered pouch for coalcracker tools, a reamer, twist awls, cutting shears and Gimlets (5MM). It also comes with a bottle of coalcracker oil with illustrated instructions, a wooden spool, the reamer and twisted an awl.

Repair Patches
If you've got a gap or two in your gear, you might want to consider adding some adhesive patches to your rep kit. These heavy-duty patches come with high-performance adhesive that has been applied to a durable polyurethane backing that allows a tear to recover under pressure. linked webpage are available in transparent or colored versions. If your kit isn't stocked with any of the above items, you might want to consider including a bag of waterproof Aquaseal wader repair sealant. This water-tight glue will bond to plastics, fabric, metals, and more for permanent repair. This glue is ideal for repairing drysuits, and is also employed in the field. Let the sealant sit for up to 12 hours to dry before you can use the repaired equipment.
The essential field fabric kit for tents, packs and rainwear made from silicone-impregnated nylon. Includes one Clean Tape repair patch and sil-nylon swatch. Also included is a 1/4 ounce of Gore-Tex Repair and Sealant Adhesive Brush and Sealant tube. Apply patch to clean flat surface. Allow a minimum 1/2 inch overlap. Adhesive Patches
