The robot is costly however it's great for cleaning up spills and dust. It has advanced programming for effective obstacle avoidance, and it can set up zones to vacuum or mop in different rooms.
1. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
This robot vacuum and mop has a sleek sturdy design with the latest robotic technology. The powerful smartphone app helps you keep track of routine maintenance, such as emptying its tiny dust bin and cleaning the mop pad in between uses. It also docks on a self-emptying base that automatically emptys and cleans the bin after each cleaning cycle. It's among the few robots that offers these features at a premium price, and has performed well in our tests.
Roborock has redesigned the S8 Pro Ultra compared to last year's version that focuses on avoiding objects and cleaning power. The result is a more efficient and cleaner machine. It now comes with a more potent suction motor and dual rubber rollers in its floorhead, which make it better at taking debris off of the floor and removing pet hair from carpet. The battery can last up to 180 minutes and supports scheduled charging, which can help reduce the cost of electricity.
The most significant modification is the robot's brand new RockDock Ultra docking station, which goes beyond empty and clean its contents after every cleaning cycle. It also cleans the mop pad, dry it with warm air, and refills its water tank. This feature sets it apart from its rivals since it decreases the amount of time and effort needed to maintain it.
From the box, the S8 Pro Ultra is easy to set up. It requires a Wi-Fi signal to download its companion app and connect it with its docking station. It comes with an additional mop pad and power cable. After that, you're ready to start cleaning.
In our tests we found that the S8 Pro Ultra picked up the most surface debris and embedded dirt on medium-pile carpet and unfinished floors. The power of its vacuum is a bit lower than our top choice, the iRobot Roomba j7+ however, it's a capable and versatile machine that's well worth your time.
The app lets you create a 3D map of your home as well as designate zones that are not to be visited and schedule specific cleaning times. The app also displays an ongoing log of cleaning times and coverage areas and lets you see the performance of each room and areas. You can assign a specific cleaning mode to each space. You can also include voice control on your Echo device or smart speaker if you have one.

The j7+ comes with a larger dust bin than the other self-emptying robot vacuums that we've tried. This allows it to hold more debris, but you'll need to empty it once every seven to eight months (or more frequently if you have many pet hairs or other heavy debris). iRobot offers filters and bags to replace.
The j7+ also has a front-facing camera, which is supposed to help the robot avoid hazards like power cords and pet waste. The camera doesn't perform so well in dim light, though, so you might want to look at a competitor with a more efficient camera, such as the Roborock S7 MaxV.
In the end, I was thrilled to find that the iRobot J7+ automatically empties its dust bin into the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal once it's docked. This is a huge improvement over the other models which require you to open manually and empty the dust bag. It's a minor detail, but one that will save you time and frustration.
3. Ecovacs Deebot T10 Omni
The Deebot T10 is a sleek robot that delivers impressive cleaning performance. It has a suction of 5000Pa and comes with dual-sided brushes as well as floating brushes that remove dirt from corners and hard floors. It comes with a powerful battery that powers both mopping and vacuuming and can return to its dock when running low on power. Smart features include a home map, 3D mapping, and automatic cleaning schedules.
Similar to other Deebot models, the T10 Omni uses a separate cleaning tank that is used to wash and dry its mopping pads to avoid cross-contamination. The tank for cleaning can hold up to 4L of clean water, which will cover approximately 400m2. It is designed in an approach that allows it to be filled up and then drained without getting wet or touching the pad.
One feature that sets the T10 apart from other robot vacuums is its advanced mapping technology, which produces a precise three-dimensional map of your home's layout. This enables the robot to detect obstacles with greater precision and to adapt its course, enhancing the overall effectiveness of cleaning.
The ECOVACS app is simple to use, and has various settings that can be customized. The only issue is that it doesn't come with a remote control, which some may find annoying.
The T10 OMNI performs a fantastic job of removing pet hair. After two cleaning cycles, it was able to remove the majority of pet hair from my carpets. It even managed to maneuver around furniture that were blocking its way.
Although it's not as hands-free as the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the T10 Omni is an excellent choice for those seeking a self-emptying robotic mop and vacuum. Its mops have the same power as the vacuums and has a more attractive design than Roomba. Although it lacks a remote control, the T10's intelligent capabilities will make up for the lack of one. You can easily start or stop a cleaning cycle or schedule it and change device settings with the app.
4. Shark ION XL
Shark's top-of-the-line self-emptying robot vacuum, the ION XL is an excellent option for those looking for hands-off cleaning with an outstanding level of performance. The vacuum comes with a big bin that can store up to a month's worth dirt. It can be set to empty the bin at the conclusion of each cleaning session for long-term storage. The ION XL robot vacuum is one of the most flexible available. It can clean carpets and hard floors. You can control the robot through an app or voice commands. You can also design an outline of your home at any time. The robot does an excellent job of moving around furniture and can even move through stairs and fully-carpeted rooms easily.
I tested the IONXL using our standard debris test in a family space and kitchen with hardwood flooring and area rug. Related Home Page was a great job vacuuming and removing debris, pet hair, and even some of the most stubborn carpet crumbs. It was also excellent at maneuvering around my bar stools and didn't get in the way of them as the iRobot j7+ did in this test. The only downside to the ION XL is that it does not detect cords, shoes or toys that are in its path. It is necessary to clean your house before you use this vacuum if you want it to avoid them.
The ION XL robot cleaner isn't as sophisticated as the iRobot j7+ but it's a good alternative if you don't need to spend more than $500 on a robotic. It's superior to the eufy RoboVac 11S, in many ways. It's simpler to maintain and has lower costs for recurring maintenance. It also does a better job at vacuuming bare floors and picking up pet hair, but it does not perform as well on lowor high-pile carpet.
It's not as robust, but it's still a solid option. The ION XL is a powerful machine with a huge capacity bin. It is operated by an app or voice command, and is simple to maintain. It's also a reasonable price.
