The Eufy 11S robotic vacuum is among the most affordable self-emptying vacuums that are available. It ably sucked up dry oatmeal from hard floors and carpets with low pile in our tests. Its dustbin is easy to empty and open- easier than those of some other models in its price range.

It recharges at its base and resumes cleaning when it's fully charged. But its obstacle-avoidance system gets caught in cords and socks, and it's unable to operate under low thresholds.
1. iRobot 11S
The 11S is one of the cheaper self-emptying robots available and a lot of people seem to love it. It is a great choice for getting under furniture and is a good choice for those who have hard floors or who do a lot of cleaning. The suction might be a little weaker than those of our top picks, but it still gets the job accomplished. It has a big dust bin and a durable battery. The app allows you to schedule your daily cleaning or choose a specific room. It's also possible to create a map of your home, which can assist in avoiding areas you don't want it to go to.
The app is simple to use and has a simple layout. It doesn't have any advanced features, but it's straightforward enough to use and makes it easy to keep track of the progress of your robot. It also comes with a helpful tutorial to provide you with the basics.
Bounce Navigation's cleaning pattern isn't always rational. Sometimes it follows straight lines and other times it focuses on the edges of the space. However, it cleans the entire floor. It's not the greatest at navigating obstacles, however - it was unable to climb over our piano pedals and pet food bowls, and got tangled up in our 2.25-inch shag rug multiple times.
While it's a great alternative for cleaning up light chores We believe there are better robot vacuums than the 11S. The iRobot Roomba 694 is better-built and easier to maintain, has lower recurring costs and is less time-consuming to charge. It also has a larger dustbin and is more effective on all types of surfaces, and it can overcome low-lying obstructions (like electrical cords) more easily.
The RoboVac 11S, which is eufy, is a good choice for regular vacuuming. It is designed very similarly to our top pick, and it is great for picking up fine dirt and larger debris on hard floors. It also does a decent job on low-pile and medium-pile carpet. Similar to the Roomba by iRobot Roomba, it has a huge dirt compartment, and it uses BoostIQ to automatically adjust suction power. It comes with a simple remote control, and you can set up daily cleanings with the app. Its battery lasts for about an hour, and the dustbin can be emptied without removing it from the dock.
2. Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra
Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra robot mop and vacuum is an excellent robot with an impressive array of automated features. It comes in three options that include the basic S7, the S7 MaxV Plus, and the S7 MaxV Ultra. The S7 MaxV Ultra is the only model equipped with an Empty Wash Fillet Dock (or an alternative Auto-Empty Dock). These docks allow the robot to return to its home base and empty the debris into a dust bag or reservoir, drain the dirty water tank, and wash its mopping pads.
Sensors on the S7 work in tandem to clean and avoid obstacles. It can detect the types of floors, save maps of rooms and zones, and even detect levels of dirt. It's also capable of scheduling and executing spot-cleaning sessions. It was able to perform well in our tests, though it couldn't quite match the iRobot Roomba j7+ in the carpet deep clean test.
You can program the S7 by using the companion app to run a cleaning routine according to your schedule. You can set a date, time day, week, or even a day as well as choose among a range of cleaning modes such as automatic, eco, and deep clean. You can also select whether the robot will stop when its power runs out or if it encounters an obstruction.
If you don't own an iPhone but you can still use the S7 by connecting a remote control to the charging dock. The remote controls are a little confusing, but once you've mastered the use of them, they work great. The power button functions as the general 'Clean' function and the "Spot Clean" button instructs the robot to clean the area around it. The "Spot Clean" button activates the child lock.
Roborock's mobile app has been enhanced to include a live view feature that lets you see what the S7 does at home. You can activate it by pressing a particular sequence of buttons on your S7, and then create an unlock pattern within the mobile app that is available at any time you want to know what the S7 is doing.
3. Shark IQ Large
Shark's robot vacuums aren't as well-known as those made by iRobot or Roborock. But our tests have shown that this model is among the most efficient self-emptying vacuums on the market. It's easy to set up, comes with a huge bin that is easy to empty (albeit somewhat loudly) into a trash can when it is full and is easily programmed to complete a home cleaning schedule or as needed.
The IQ XL is able to connect to your WiFi at home and allow you to track its progress in cleaning using the Shark app. The app lets you program cleaning schedules, receive push notifications about its status, the ability to pause and resume cleaning, or set it to a single room. You can also control it with voice commands via Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. The app will tell the user which the current power mode is which is Eco, Maximum, or Normal - however, we discovered that none of these modes produced a noticeable improvement in the performance of cleaning.
When it's finished a cleaning cycle, the IQ XL will automatically empty the dustbin into its base, which then automatically emptys itself. The bin can hold up to 60 days worth of trash and won't require emptying more frequently than that, unless you have many pets with long hair. If you have to empty it, all you need to do is detach the side bin, hold it over a trash container and press a button to empty its contents.
There's not much to dislike about the Shark IQ XL, although it feels a bit less sturdy than the Roomba 694. It does a good job at cleaning carpeted floors, however, it's not as effective as the iRobot Roomba i7 in terms of the performance of bare floors. click now feels more durable, is more robust, requires less maintenance, incurs lower recurring cost and charges faster, and offers comparable battery performance. It also comes with more advanced automation features, such as areas that are not accessible and the ability to choose specific rooms to be cleaned.
4. iRobot J7+
This robot vacuum and mop combination is a rare find that can do both tasks well. iRobot Combo j7+ has all the smarts and features similar to its j7 counterpart including LiDAR maps and self-emptying. However, it also has additional features for vacuuming and mopping.
The j7+ utilizes the new acoustic sensor to identify the floor type, so that it can mop or vacuum the room on its first pass. It also uses this info to prioritize cleaning rooms with carpets and rug flooring over rooms with hard floors.
The J7+ is more quiet than the majority of robotic vacuums when it's running and even more quiet when it's mopping. The maximum reading on our decibel meter was 64db which is similar to the noise of general office chatter.
You can easily set up a cleaning schedule and alter what happens when the dust canister is full. The j7+ can be controlled by voice assistants such as Alexa, Google Assistant and others. to allow hands-free operation. the app lets you create and look at maps of your home.
The j7+ performed admirably in our tests on both hard and carpeted flooring, and was able to remove all the dirt we threw its way. It isn't able to deal with pet hair, large debris and sand. But it can clean them with more effort. It has good navigational abilities and two cliff sensors that stop it from falling down stairs or becoming caught on furniture legs.
We did discover a few minor niggles with the j7+, mostly that it could snag rugs and cords and that it doesn't always shut off its mopping when finished vacuuming. Overall, this is an excellent model that checks all the right boxes.
iRobot J7+ is one of the most efficient auto-emptying systems we've ever tested. It drops its 14oz/0.4-liter dust canister into the base station, and it automatically emptys for you. This reduces the amount of trash you have to throw away and you'll need to change the reusable dust disposal bag from the dock every 60 days or so, based on how often you use the j7+.
