Its companion app allows you to check the robot's status and receive push notifications as well as pause and restart cleaning sessions, and even set up schedules.
The setup is easy and quick, with a female voice guiding you through each step. Once connected to WiFi, the Shark app lets you monitor every clean cycle and even view a map of your home's floor plan (though it only saves maps for a single floor). You can even change the name of rooms with the mapping feature. It has a great battery life. In "Max mode" it can last for up to an hour and recharges faster than any other robot we tested.
If you do not have an WiFi connection, the top of the robot has two buttons that permit you to operate it manually. You can use them to initiate or stop a cleaning session or to stop or resume charging and then manually send it back to the dock. You can also turn on the Shark IQ by using your Amazon Alexa device or Google Assistant. It is equipped with the ability to map and detect that generates a precise floor plan for your home. It struggled to detect dust particles on carpets, and its sensors were not always able find the edges of the floor. The 11s was still easy to use and didn't have major issues with stairs or raised floorboards. It also has a reliable battery life of 100 minutes which is enough for most single-room tasks.
The main selling point of the eufy RoboVac 11s is that it offers excellent performance at a reasonable price. It does a good job on plain floors, low-pile and medium-pile carpet, and is relatively quiet when working. The only drawback is that it is a bit difficult to maneuver and lacks automation features like boundary markers or voice control. For this reason, we suggest upgrading to the eufy BoostIQ RoboVac 11s if you're interested in these features. It is better built and has a larger dust bin, runs longer on a single battery, and has superior mapping and navigation capabilities. It also manages pet hair better and has a higher maximum suction power.
