The Q Revo is a great option if you're looking for a robot vacuum and mop that is mid-range. It offers a great mopping experience but lacks the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.
In the course of testing, it was able to tackle dry oats and dust on carpets of medium pile as well as pet hair on hard flooring. It does not use LIDAR however, like cheaper models do, to locate your home.
iRobot Roomba s9+
The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the most highly-rated robot vacuums. It has a lot of features and impressive cleaning power, such as a dirt compartment that is integrated into the base of charging. This robot can also learn your cleaning habits and suggest schedules that are automatic to ensure you have a hands-free experience.
The setup process is simple thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once everything is connected, you can start the automated cleaning functions with the click of the button. You can select an overall clean, which prioritizes the removal of larger debris such as rice and cereal. Or you can choose two mappings to ensure that the entire home is cleaned thoroughly.
This robot vacuum is effective on both bare floors and low-pile carpet. It sucks up large items and doesn't lose suction as quickly as some others do and can remove pet hair without difficulty. It has a difficult time with plush or high-pile carpets, but iRobot says that future models will be better.
The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that focuses on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted, D-shaped design, which will allow it to fit into furniture and walls. It's a nice improvement over the traditional hockey puck shape of the majority of robovacs. However, we discovered it to be only marginally better than circular models.
iRobot also claims that the S9+ has an improved filter system that prevents tiny dust particles and allergens from recirculating in your home. We like the statement but not enough to justify a premium price.
Its smart navigation system employs a combination of sensors to keep track of your home's layout, and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. It then cleans your entire home efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, as well as set up virtual boundaries, so it knows to avoid areas that require more attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
Roborock Q Revo is a robot that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vac settings are as efficient as those found on higher-end models and its mopping system is better still--its spinning pads do a much better job of scrubbing floors than a stationary vibrating pad.
The only drawback is that it does not have an additional rubber brush to allow to provide more thorough cleaning, but that's an acceptable cost to pay for if you are looking for one of the top robots on the market. The robo-vac's tank for dust is larger than many of its competitors, and it takes just two or three cycles to fill it up, even with the highest dirt level.
In terms of the mopping device, I was impressed with its ability to scrub tough dirt from my floors. Its two mopping modes at the lowest, which are less aggressive than the more powerful ones, generate minimal noise, allowing you to work or watch television without interruption. It will gently hit furniture or walls and move on whenever it comes across one.
The Q Revo is unique in that it runs almost autonomously, with little user involvement. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that automatically transfers physical trash into the bin hidden in the background and washes and dry the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app is adept at notifying you when something requires attention, like the clean water tank running low or a scheduled cleaning session that was cancelled due to a stuffed dust bin.
You can also create or merge actual rooms to personalize the way Q Revo handles your home. This feature is beneficial when you have different flooring in different areas of your home or when you have to frequently remove clutter, such as clothes, toys, and books. The robot vacuum is also efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, taking dirt from carpets and hardwoods in its first run. It can even vacuum up wet spills, though I recommend cleaning them off using a clean cloth before bringing the robot into.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a high-end robot vacuum and mop combo and more. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum that has powerful suction that cleans hard and carpet floors, as well as the mop's rotating design that can scrub tough staining. It also comes with a self-cleaning base station that automatically empty and cleans the mop pads, keeping them clean and ready for use again. It also has a new sensor system that better recognizes obstacles, giving it the ability to avoid falling over furniture and other objects.
The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS X1 Deebot is its sleeker, more modern design. This is thanks to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang Olufsen product line. While still quite big--it's over two feet high and deep and weighs nearly four pounds--the robot and its base are much smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.
This version is more efficient than the X1 because it charges more quickly and can clean up 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a bigger dustbin that is more durable and can hold more debris which makes it easier to empty when needed.
The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant as well as an app that works even when you're at home. It also has more mopping modes and an intelligent routing feature that gives it the flexibility to clean certain rooms or areas of your home instead of just following a set route.
The Omni Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we've tested, thanks to its mop pads rotating to scrub away tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming is excellent as well and it enhances suction when it senses carpet to ensure it does the job well. It also has a large battery that can last for weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as effective as the ones we've seen on the market for a consumer robot.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a high-end model that has a range of features that aren't typically found on robots of this price. It can make detailed floor maps and identify different types of flooring. It's also among the few robots that can automatically clean and dry its mop pad. While these features are nice to have, they also make the L10s Ultra more in the category of luxury and could mean it's slightly more expensive than the average homeowner require.
It is designed to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device that has an elegant white finish that's highlighted by mirror-plated silver elements. The front of the machine is dominated by a huge bumper that helps protect furniture and the vacuum from damage when moving through the home. Behind the pane at the front is a second navigation technology with sensors that help the L10s Ultra maneuver tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top, you'll find one button that acts as an on/off switch. Pressing this will activate the vacuum, while clicking it again will turn off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The circular menu in the middle of the control panel lets you to select cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons below the screen will bring up the settings menu of the app where you can tweak how the L10s Ultra integrates with your home.
Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technology to help you map out your home. This creates a precise floor plan that allows the robot vacuum and mop effectively and avoid getting stuck in areas with clutter. The LIDAR also lets the robot vacuum recognize and avoid obstacles, which is a nice feature for families with children or pets.
The L10s Ultra is a powerful vacuum cleaner, which removes 98.4 percent of the debris we test on hard floors and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice stains. Its mops also do a great job, removing 98.4 percent of debris from our carpet, tile, and wood tests. It wasn't as effective in removing sand from our hard floor or quaker oats from the carpet.
