The Q Revo is an excellent option for those looking for a mid-range mop and robot vacuum. It's a great mopping capability, but it lacks certain of the more advanced features that are found in its more expensive sibling.
In the course of testing, it was able to tackle dust and dry oats on carpets of medium pile and pet hair on hard flooring. It doesn't use LIDAR, however, as other models do to identify your home.
Roomba s9+ from iRobot
The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is among the best-rated robots. It is a powerful cleaner and numerous features such as an automatic dirt bin built into its charging base. The robot will learn your habits for cleaning and suggest automatic schedules to provide you with an effortless cleaning experience.
The setup process is simple thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once everything is connected, you can start the automatic cleaning functions at the touch of the button. You can opt for an overall clean that focuses on cleaning up larger debris like cereal and rice, or opt for two detailed maps of your area to ensure that your home gets a proper look.
This vacuum works well on floors that are unfinished and carpets with a low pile. It sucks up large items and doesn't lose suction as quickly as other models do and can pick up pet hair with ease. It has a difficult time with high-pile carpets or plush carpets however, iRobot promises that the next models will be better.
The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that focuses on improving the edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt an open-fronted, flat-fronted design, which will allow it to be able to swaddle furniture and walls. It's a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are common, but we found it to be just marginally better than circular models.
iRobot also claims the S9+ has a superior filtering system that stops microscopic dust particles and allergens from circulating in your home. It's a nice claim, however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price price.
Its smart navigation system uses sensors that remember the layout of your home and vSLAM technology to map the interior. It then cleans your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles such as stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, as well as establish virtual boundary markers, so it knows to avoid areas that require more attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
When it comes to robots that combine mopping and vacuuming the Roborock Q Revo is a standout. Its vacuum settings are just as effective as those found on more expensive models. And its mopping system is superior as its spinning pads scrub floors more effectively than an ordinary pad that vibrates.
It's only downside is the absence of a second brush for deeper cleaning. However, that's not a problem for those who want to own one of the top robots on the market. The dust tank of the robo-vac is larger than many of its competitors, and filling it up only takes two or three cycles even when you have maximum dirt.
In terms of the mopping device, I was awestruck by its ability to remove hard-to-clean dirt from my floors. Its two lowest mopping modes, which are less aggressive than the high-powered ones, create very little noise, which allows you to work or even watch television without interruption. If it encounters a wall or furniture piece it gently bumps into it and then moves on.
What really makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to run nearly completely on its own, with no need for user intervention. The dock of the robo-vac can be multi-functional and will automatically move garbage into a bin hidden. It also cleans, dries and refills the clean water tank. The app is adept at alerting you when something needs attention, such as the water tank being empty or a scheduled vacuuming session being cancelled because of a full dust bin.
You can also create or combine actual rooms to customize the way that Q Revo handles your home. vacuum and mop combo 's a handy feature if you have multiple rooms in your home that have different floor materials or if there's some clutter that must be removed frequently, such as clothes, toys, and books. The robot vacuum was also among the best performers in my test, picking up debris on carpets as well as hardwood floors on the first attempt. It can even vacuum up wet spills. I recommend drying them with a towel before sending it in.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a high-end robot vacuum and mop and more. It comes with a rotating mop and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It is similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with a self-cleaning station that automatically washes and cleans the mop pads to keep them clean and ready for reuse. It also has a sensor that recognizes obstacles better which allows it to avoid falling onto furniture and other objects.
The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it has a sleeker, more modern design thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang Olufsen products). Although it's still quite large--it's more than two feet high and deep and weighs in excess of four pounds--the robot itself and its base are less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.
This version is more efficient than the X1 since it charges faster and cleans 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also comes with a larger and more robust dustbin that can store more debris. This makes it easier to empty.
Lastly it is worth noting that the X2 Omni has a more user-friendly app and a voice assistant that works offline, which means you can use it even if you're not at home. It also comes with more mopping options and an intelligent routing feature which allows it to clean certain rooms or areas of your home instead simply following a predetermined route.
The Omni X2 Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we've tested, thanks to its rotating mop pads that clean tough stains away and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is top-notch, and it boosts suction when it detects carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It also has a massive battery that can last for weeks between charges, and its mopping mode is as efficient as anything we've seen in the market for a consumer robot.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a high-end mop and robot vacuum that comes with a variety of convenience features that you don't often see on robots of this price range. It can create precise floor maps and recognize different types of flooring. It's also one of the few robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These features are great but they also make the L10s more of a premium category. This could make it more expensive than what homeowners want.
The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It's tall and slim and has a white-colored finish, accentuated by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is adorned with an enormous bumper that shields the furniture and vacuum cleaner while moving around your home. Behind the pane at the front is additional navigation technology with sensors that aid the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top of the vacuum there is a single button that acts as an on/off switch. This button will activate the vacuum. Clicking it again will turn it off and transmit it to its base station. The circular menu at the middle of the control panel allows you to select cleaning modes, schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons below the screen will open the settings menu of the app where you can alter how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technology to help you map out your home. This creates a detailed floor plan that helps the robot vacuum and mop efficiently without getting stuck in areas with clutter. The LIDAR also assists the robot vacuum detect and avoid obstacles and obstacles, which is a wonderful feature for families with children or pets.
The L10s Ultra has a solid vacuuming capability that clears 98.4 percent of debris from our hard-floor test and removing all but the most stubborn juice stain. Its mops also do a great job in removing 98.4 percent of debris from our tile, carpet, and wood tests. It was not as efficient at removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oatmeal from the carpet.
