Its navigation skills are impressive, and it easily navigated around the furniture in my apartment. It cleaned much of the dirt off my floors, and left them sparkling clean. The mopping feature, however, was less effective - it failed to take away all the marks from my kitchen, and also failed to clean up spilled coffee. Mopping is extremely efficient in cleaning up spilled food or drinks.
The robot's base is connected to a tap so that it can automatically fill and empty its tanks. This is an especially handy feature for people who live in a house shared by several people and reduces the frequency of maintenance. The mops are automatically washed and rinsed in the docking station after each use, and they can be washed up to 75 times before they require replacement. The app provides plenty of flexibility, so you can set your settings based on the space. You can select carpeted rooms or choose the cleaning schedule and the frequency that the cleaner is back at the docking station for mop pad cleaning.
It is quiet enough to be used when watching TV. It can be quite loud on max suction, however, so it may require adjusting if you want to continue listening to the show.
Simple to Operate
The Dreame L30 Ultra is a hands-free robot with a nice range of features. It can both mop and vacuum floors on its own, and its advanced navigation means it's extremely efficient at doing so. Its advanced navigation system lets it avoid obstacles and continue to move without being lost or confused. It can even detect carpeting and return to its base station to untie its mops, which is handy in keeping your carpets looking nice.
Alexa, Siri, and Google Assistant can all be used to stop, start and pause the device. Apart from its problems with noise and speed, this is a very impressive machine that does a fantastic job of removing dirt and other debris. It was excellent in removing pet hair as well as fine dust but had trouble getting rid of stains that were hard to remove older than a week. It can be a bit confusing to use and set up especially for those who aren't tech-savvy.
It is also quite expensive to run, with the annual operating costs expected to exceed $100 or so. It is an effective cleaner and, with its powerful motors, high-end technology and other features, it's the best robot vacuum currently available. It's definitely worth the initial cost for those with large houses or who want to keep their carpets in top condition.
