iRobot Roomba 694"
The Roomba 694 from iRobot is a robot vacuum for entry-level use that works well on carpets with a low pile or bare floor. It has good suction and cleans up most debris, though it has trouble with bigger debris such as rice or sand. It does a good job cleaning pet hair but is not as resistant to tangling as premium Roomba models like the j7 and I6.
The Roomba 694 is simple to use. It has three buttons on the top cover. "Clean," which launches a cleaning session, 'Dock,' which puts it in its charging station and "Spot," which initiates the targeted cleaning. You can control it using an app on your smartphone that lets you schedule cycles, stop/start the cycle and change settings. You can also pair the device to smart home devices such as Alexa or Google Assistant to control it by voice.
This vacuum cleaner is slower than some other models, but it can get into the most crevices and corners. It has a large bin that makes it easy to empty. It is compatible with virtual barriers and digital mapping, which allow you to restrict it to certain areas or stop cleaning altogether if you want to keep it from getting stuck on something.
Although robots that vacuum and mop 's not the most efficient model in its price range but it's far superior to other alternatives. The Roborock E4 has a better cleaning efficiency than the Roomba 694 and it is able to clean both carpets with a low pile and bare. It also follows a more efficient cleaning path and has a longer battery life. It is also more comfortable to use and has fewer components that need regular maintenance, is less expensive to maintain over its life and charges more quickly than the 694.
It's also worth considering other, more premium models in the iRobot line, like the 981 or the v7. The v7 and 981 are more expensive, but they offer significant improvements in cleaning performance both on low and bare pile floors. They also have a bigger dirt compartment and charge faster, move more easily, and are easier to pair up with smart home devices.
Shark RV1001AE IQ
This budget self-emptying robot does a good job on hard floors as well as carpets with a low pile. Its combinator brush gets to corners and edges and automatically boosts suction once it detects carpet. It also does a great job of cleaning embedded dirt off carpet in the middle. The IQ has a small footprint and a self-emptying function. If you'd like to change the floor level or set areas that are not allowed to be used, you'll need to manually reset the map.
The IQ's app has some advanced mapping and automation features however it doesn't have no-go zones, which are available on iRobot models. Its intelligent-pathing navigational system gives you superior maneuverability and its high-pile carpet mode is clean well, although it tends to get caught up in rug tassels. Additionally, its iHome speaker lets you operate the robot by voice commands.
During our tests, the IQ was adept at handling pet hair with ease, removing an impressive amount of debris from floors with no flooring and fair amounts of medium-pile carpet. It was less efficient on shag carpets, where it struggled to get at dirt and dust that was embedded in the fibers. It did a decent job of navigating the legs of chairs and tight spaces, as well as the wooden base of an IKEA step stool. It was a bit slower on floors that were not paved however it soon recovered speed and performed more thoroughly than other robots we tested.

The IQ is a better choice for the majority of users than the iRobot Roomba. It has a larger dustbin and lasts longer on charge, and is capable of getting around obstacles. It comes with mopping tools that can clean up sticky mess. The iRobot however, feels better built and has less components that require maintenance or replacement and incurs fewer recurring costs, can create virtual no-go zones using its companion application. It is able to even resume cleaning from where it left off if it has run out of battery before having completed the task. The iRobot can also be controlled using voice commands, which is a huge benefit for many users.
Eufy 11S
The RoboVac 11S from Eufy isn't the most feature-rich robot vacuum available but it does provide excellent cleaning power at the price of. The RoboVac 11S is designed for budget-conscious consumers who don't require a complicated mapping system, or an app to control it. The robot is able to last for over an hour. It includes a remote control, cleaning tool, and AC power adapter.
The 11S is slim and sleek with a tempered glass upper deck that is covered with plastic, which is finished to appear like brushed aluminum. It's a nice contrast to Roomba, Samsung, and Neato designs that are more industrial and utilitarian.
The eufy11S did well in our tests to remove larger particles and fine dust from hard flooring. It was unable to thoroughly clean high-pile and medium-pile carpets. The device is prone of bumping into furniture and people in its course. However, it is able to detect obstacles with sensors. When it comes across them, it halts and emits an alarm so that you can manually guide it through the obstacle before getting it back to work.
Another great feature of the eufy 11S is its BoostIQ mode, which allows you to set the robot to automatically adjust its suction strength to match floor type and the amount of dirt. The remote control makes it simple to direct the 11S to the desired place.
Single Room Mode is a great option if you have little furniture in the room you want to vacuum. The eufy can spend up to 30 minutes cleaning the area it is assigned.
Edge Cleaning is another option that limits the time spent on each area to 20 minutes. This will maximize battery life. This option allows the eufy to move in a spiraling fashion by cleaning edges and corners.
