The Q Revo is an excellent option for those looking for a mid-range robot vacuum and mop. It has a great mopping capability, but it lacks some of the features found in its more expensive sibling.
In tests it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium-pile. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't use LIDAR to determine the layout of your home.
Roomba s9+ iRobot from iRobot
The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the most highly-rated robot vacuums. It has impressive cleaning power and numerous features such as the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. This robot can learn your cleaning habits, and suggest automatic schedules to give you an effortless cleaning experience.
It's easy to set up thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once the system is set up it can begin automated cleaning with a single button press. You can opt for an overall clean that emphasizes the removal of large debris such as rice and cereal or go for two thorough maps of your area to ensure that your home gets a proper look.
This robot vacuum is effective on both floors that are bare and carpets with low pile. It can remove pet hair and clean large items up. It doesn't lose its suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It's not the best time with plush or high-pile carpet, but iRobot claims it will improve with future models.
The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that focuses on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba that adopts a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes this will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It's a great improvement over the standard hockey puck shape of robovacs, but we discovered it to be only marginally better than circular models.
iRobot also claims that vacuum robot comes with an advanced filtering system that stops microscopic dust particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. It's a nice premise, but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price cost.
Its intelligent navigation system makes use of a combination of sensors to remember the layout of your home and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. It then cleans your entire home efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other barriers. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and schedule cleaning times, as well as establish virtual boundary markers, so it can recognize areas that require extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
Roborock Q Revo is a robot that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are just as effective as those found on higher-end models. The mopping system is better because its spinning pads scrub your floors much more efficiently than the vibrating pads.
It's only downside is the lack of a second brush to allow for more thorough cleaning. However, it's not a big deal if you want to own one of the top robots available. The dust tank on the robovac is larger than many of its competitors. Filling it up only takes two or three cycles even when you've got a lot of dirt.
As for the mopping device, I was impressed by its ability to remove tough dirt from my floors. The two mopping settings that it has, which are less powerful than high-powered modes, produce very low noise, which means you can work or watch television without being distracted. If it comes across the wall or a piece of furniture it gently smacks into it and moves along.
What really distinguishes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to function almost autonomously with very little need for human intervention. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that automatically transfers physical trash into the hidden bin, as well as washes and dry the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app will only alert you when something is not right, such as low water levels or a cancelled vacuuming session due to the bin being full.
You can also create or combine actual rooms in order to personalize the way Q Revo manages your home. This is an excellent feature for those who have multiple rooms in your home that have different flooring materials or if there's some clutter that needs to be cleaned out frequently, like toys, clothes and books. The robo-vac is also very efficient and was one of the top performers in my tests, removing debris from both carpets and hardwoods in its first run. It can also clean up spills that are wet, though I recommend cleaning them off using a clean cloth before bringing the robot in.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo that has all the features you could need. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it is a top-quality vacuum with a powerful suction that cleans hard and carpet floors, plus a rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also comes with an auto-cleaning base station that automatically empty and cleans the mop pads, ensuring that they remain them free of germs and ready to use again. It also features a new sensor system that better detects obstacles, giving it the ability to avoid falling over furniture and other objects.
The most notable improvement over the ECOVACS X1 Deebot is its sleeker, modern design. This is thanks to the Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang Olufsen product line. While still quite big--it's over two feet high and deep and weighs in excess of four pounds--the robot itself and its base are much smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.
This model is also more efficient than the X1, as it has faster battery charging and can complete a cleaning of around 1,500 square feet on one charge. It also has a bigger and more durable dustbin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.
The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant and an app that works even if you are not at home. It also has an intelligent routing feature that lets it clean specific areas or rooms of your home, instead of following a predetermined path.
The X2 Omni is the best robot for mopping. Its rotating mop pads remove tough stains and its motor produces a lot of downward pressure. The vacuuming capabilities are also outstanding, and it also increases suction when it senses carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It comes with a huge, rechargeable battery that can last up to one week. The mopping feature of the robot is also powerful.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a high-end model that has a range of features that aren't typically found on robots of this price. It is able to build precise floor maps, recognize different flooring types and is among the few robots that automatically wash and dry the mop pads. Although these features are useful but they also put the L10s Ultra in the luxury category, which might make it somewhat more expensive than what some homeowners need.
The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It is tall and slim and has a white-colored finish accented with silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is adorned with an impressive bumper that protects the vacuum cleaner and furniture as you move around your home. In the pane in the front is an additional navigation technology in the form of sensors that help the L10s Ultra maneuver tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button that acts as an on/off switch. Clicking this will turn on the vacuum, and pressing it again will shut off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The control panel is an oblique menu that allows you to select cleaning modes, schedules, and preferences. The left and right buttons allow you to access the settings in the app, which allow you to customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.
The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map your home. This allows the robot to clean and mop efficiently, without getting stuck. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and recognize them, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or small children.
The L10s Ultra is an efficient vacuum cleaner that removes 98.4 percent of debris from our test on hard floors and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice stains. Its mops also do a great job, removing 98.4 percent of the debris from our tile, carpet, and wood tests. However, it wasn't as great at tackling sand on the floor, or the quaker oats that are on carpet.
