While Anker-owned Eufy has made an impact in low-cost robot vacuums it hasn't previously offered an all-in-one model that can also mop. The X8 Hybrid is a new model that offers a range of modern features and can compete with more expensive models.
The laser navigation is the main selling point of this machine. The X8 utilizes laser mapping technology that is more accurate than previous Eufy devices. It takes less time to build an accurate map of your home. It can also store multiple maps. This is perfect for multi-floored homes.
The X8 is still a good vacuum on floors with no dust, slinging debris under its side brushes and into the 400ml dust bin with ease. Its tyres are adept at hugging corners and edges even though they're circular. Our tests revealed that it was able to remove 90% of the fur on hard floors.
There's a mopping mode that utilizes the same water tank as the vacuuming. While this is good for loose spills however, you aren't able to limit the amount of water it uses, which will limit its effectiveness for more serious staining. It does a good job in removing hair from pets. It has a higher pick-up rate than the Roborock S7.
3. Miele RX2
Miele's RX2 robotic vacuum is known for its quiet, powerful appliances. It has a beautiful design, a great navigation system and a powerful cleaning power. There are a few niggles in its operation that keep it from being ranked as the best smart robot vacuum.
The RX2 comes with a dual-sensor mapping technology which uses LIDAR to map the space, and a pair 3D scanning cameras to detect and avoiding obstacles (such as furniture legs or pet waste). The RX2's sensors are effective in registering furniture and other obstructions in real-time. Its sweeping and suction power are top-of-the-line, picking up surface litter from carpets of medium pile and dust in bare floors. However, it's not the most agile robot on the market. It's not the greatest climber, and it has problems with transition strips made of steel.

This budget robovac that is similar to other, but comes with some extra features and is more efficient. Its intelligent mapping system creates 2D and 3-D maps of your house and uses them to navigate around and avoid obstructions. This combination of sensors along with a bump sensor, and an infrared sensor for dropping that keeps it off steps make it one of the most flexible vacs we've tried.
It was able to climb over thick shag carpets and didn't get stuck (unlike the RoboVac 11s, or Roomba 690-). Its navigational skills were also impressive; its composite score in carpet and bare floors beat out the competition, and it was able to pick up 98.5 percent of the surface pet hair and litter from our laboratory test samples.
The controls are simpler than those of the competition's. There's a clean button at the top, and you can choose to start it with the app or via voice commands with Alexa or Google Assistant. You can also set a schedule for daily or weekly cleans, create no-go zones, and view its history of cleaning. 5. Eufy 11S

The Roomba 980 is the flagship robot vacuum. It's expensive, but it's top-performing and arguably the most advanced robot vacuum you can buy. Its self-navigation as well as environmental mapping is something to behold. It also has more advanced automation features than its competitors, including the ability to set virtual boundary lines using its mobile app. Although the app is a little sluggish, and the 980 does spin out a bit while crossing cables, it's still a very capable robot vacuum.
We really like the 980 because it uses its iAdapt2.0 navigation sensors and its visual simultaneity mapping and localisation (or vSLAM), to memorise the floor plan of your home. It will then use that information to create a consistent and efficient cleaning path for every cycle. The result is cleaner floors and a better robot vacuum than most high-end robots.
Other features of the 980 include dual multi-surface brushes that grab dirt on hard floors and carpets, as well as the spinning brush that sweeps debris into the robotic vacuums bin. The sensor for floor tracking assists in navigating through furniture, along edges and on steps. Cliff Detect prevents the Roomba from falling. And it automatically returns to its base station for hassle-free recharging between sessions. The battery life and bin capacity of the 980 aren't as good as those of other robot vacuums.
