The Q Revo is a great choice if you're looking for a robot vacuum and mop that's middle-of-the-road. It has a great mopping performance but lacks some of the features found in its more expensive sibling.
In tests it was able to remove pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium-pile. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to help you map your home.
Roomba s9+ iRobot from iRobot
The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the top-rated robots. neato robot vacuum offers impressive cleaning power and plenty of features, including the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. The robot will learn your habits of cleaning, and suggest automatic schedules to give you an effortless cleaning experience.
Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning functions with the touch of one button. You can select a general clean that prioritizes getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as rice and cereal or go for two detailed maps of your area to ensure that your entire home is properly arranged.
This robot vacuum performs well on both floors that are bare and low-pile carpet. It is able to take large objects and does not lose suction as fast as other models do, and it can even clean up pet hair with ease. It has a difficult time with high-pile or plush carpet, but iRobot says it will improve with future models.
The S9+ is a new design by iRobot that concentrates on improving corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted, D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to fit into furniture and walls. It's a nice change from the hockey puck-like design of most robovacs, though we found it to be marginally better than circular models.
iRobot claims that the S9+ also has superior filtration which blocks tiny particles and allergens from circulating throughout your home. It's a nice claim, but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the price price.
Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors to remember the arrangement of your home and vSLAM for mapping the interior. It then cleans your entire house efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, and create virtual boundaries, so it can recognize areas that need extra attention.
2. Roborock Q Revo
Roborock Q Revo is a robot that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vac settings are as efficient as those found on higher-end models and its mopping system is superior, as its spinning pads do a more impressive job of scrubbing your floors than a stationary vibrating pad.
The only drawback is the absence of a second brush to allow for more thorough cleaning. But that's not a big deal when you're looking to purchase one of the top robots available. The robo-vac's tank for dust is also larger than many of its competitors and takes only two or three cycles to fill it, even with the highest dirt level.
For the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. The two mopping settings that it has, which are less powerful than high-powered ones, create little noise, so you can work or watch television without being distracted. If it comes into contact with the wall or a furniture piece it gently smacks into it before moving forward.
The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost autonomously, with little user involvement. The robo-vac has a multifunction dock that automatically moves physical trash into the hidden bin and also washes and drys the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app is capable of nagging you only when something is in need of attention, like the water tank that is running out of clean or a scheduled cleaning session having been canceled due to a full dust bin.
You can also create and combine actual rooms to alter the way that Q Revo treats your abode. That's a handy feature if you have multiple areas of the home with different floor materials or if there's a lot of items that need to be cleaned out frequently, like toys, clothes and books. The robo-vac is also efficient and was among the top performers during my tests, picking up debris from both carpets and hardwood floors in the first attempt. It can even vacuum up wet spills. I suggest drying the area with a towel prior to sending it in.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni
The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum that has all the features you could need. It comes with the ability to rotate mops and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It's akin to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with an auto-cleaning base station that automatically empty and cleans the mop pads, ensuring that they remain them free of germs and ready to use again. It also comes with a sensor that detects obstacles more accurately and prevents it from falling on furniture and other objects.
The biggest difference over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this model has a sleeker, more modern design thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang Olufsen products). Although it's still quite large--it's more than two feet in height and depth and weighs in excess of four pounds--the robot and its base are much less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.
This version is more efficient than the X1 since it charges faster and cleans 1,500 square feet in a single charge. And it has a larger dustbin that is more durable and can hold more debris which makes it easier to empty when needed.
Finally, the X2 Omni has a more user-friendly app and a voice assistant that works offline, allowing you to use it even if you're not home. It also comes with additional mopping modes as well as a smart routing feature that gives it the flexibility to clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead simply following a predetermined path.
The X2 Omni has the top mopping performance of any robot we've tested, thanks to its mop pads that rotate to clean tough stains away and a motor that produces plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is excellent, and it increases suction when it detects carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It comes with a huge rechargeable battery that can last up to one week. The mopping feature of the robot is also powerful.
4. Dreametech L10s Ultra
The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a high-end model that comes with a variety of convenience features not often found on robots of this price. It has the ability to create precise floor maps, recognize different types of flooring and is among the few that can automatically wash and dry its mop pads. While these features are nice to have however, they also make the L10s Ultra more in the category of luxury which could make it a little more expensive than the average homeowner require.
The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It's tall and slim with a white finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a huge bumper, which helps protect furniture and vacuum cleaners from damage when moving through the house. Behind the pane at the front is an additional navigation technology in the form of sensors that help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.
On the top of the screen, you'll find one button that basically is a switch for on and off. Pressing this will activate the vacuum, and clicking it again will turn off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The circular menu at the center of the control panel allows you to select cleaning modes, schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons beneath the screen will open up the app's settings menu where you can tweak the way that the L10s Ultra integrates with your home.
Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technology to help you map out your home. This allows the robot to mop and vacuum efficiently without getting stuck. The LIDAR also lets the robot vacuum detect and avoid obstacles which is a great feature for families with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra is an extremely powerful vacuum cleaner, removing 98.4% debris from our test on hard floors and removing all but stubborn juice stains. Its mops also perform well, removing 98.4% debris from our tile, carpet, and wood tests. However, it wasn't as efficient in dealing with sand on the floor or Quaker oats on carpet.
