WoW Are We Getting Xbox Adaptive Controllers Support With Shadowlands Expansion

Contrary to other MMOs, Blizzard's genre-defining World of Warcraft launched on PC but did not make the transition to console. There aren't any official plans to bring the game to home consoles, but Blizzard's developers are planning to introduce controller support as part of the forthcoming expansion.

A data-mining exercise of buy WOW WoTLK Classic Gold the game's code has exposed references to gamingpad support and led to some believing that the announcement of a console-based version of WoW was imminent. It's not true, however Blizzard will include support for an Xbox Adaptive Controller.

In WoW's forums (via GamesRadar), WoW Forums (via GamesRadar), community manager Kaivax stated that some members of the WoW community are using third-party plugins such as Console Port 39 to help with accessibility issues. The game's developer is looking to prevent this issue by releasing official gamepad support.
